According to Scifi Wire
, Battlestar Galactica will move to Sunday nights at 10 PM starting January 21st.
It will be paired with the new show, The Dresden Files
, which will air at 9PM. (Times are Eastern.)
I know the ratings have been lower than they'd like this year, since it's up against the big non-cable network shows. My guess is that's the reason for the move -- they feel that they can do better on Sunday, when fewer networks have new episodes of their shows (and none of them are sci-fi). I hope they're not completely abandoning Friday nights -- I've always looked forward to Scifi Friday. On the other hand, I know that a lot of people go out on Friday and Saturday nights and don't sit in front of the TV, so maybe the ratings will be higher on Sundays. It certainly deserves
to be seen by more people, especially this season!
